some of my story that i wrote February 11, 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — emilyishere @ 7:14 pm

Janie looked around her wildly. The white beach shone in the bright, orange-and-yellow sky. The palm trees danced in the wind, their bright green leaves swaying. Janie looked so rapidly from her left to her right she fell over in the sand. She didn’t get up. She just laid there, her hands lying useless next to her. She felt paralyzed and stuck, lying there in the sand. She didn’t know where she was. She didn’t know why. She just was. Her tears dripped into the sand as she sighed, the wind taking the sigh above and beyond her. Everything was beyond her now. Where was she?

Janie stirred in her sleep. The bugs were so loud here. And they were ugly. She slapped her neck. She woke up with a start as a shock of pain flew through her neck. Shocked, she grabbed her neck. Something bit her hand. She threw it far into the ocean. She felt her neck. She looked at it by the dim moonlight. Her neck was bleeding. A lot. And there was a swollen bump there now. That stupid bug had bit her! It wasn’t the first. The mosquitoes came in such large amounts, buzzing in big groups, eating, and then moving away to go attack something else. Frustrated, Janie threw herself into the ocean. She was too tired but she remembered reading in a book that salt water was good for wounds. The water rushed into the bite, cleaning off all the blood and stinging. All of Janie’s body felt swollen and rough. Bugs. She groaned. She couldn’t believe she used to collect them when she was younger! She rolled farther into the ocean. She felt like her whole body needed salt-watering. All of the sudden, there was a rumbling sound out of the sound of bugs. Janie jumped up, suddenly alert. She yelped and jumped farther and farther into the ocean, crawling faster and faster, deeper and deeper. She didn’t want to know what that animal was. Whatever it was, it was smelly and big with big teeth. The farther she swam, the more tired she was. That couldn’t be good, she realized as her eyes began to close. She was in the middle of the ocean. Alone. How had this happened to her?

“Janie! How could you?” Lauren asked, nudging Janie as they walked down the hallway. “Well…” Lauren stopped her, her face twisted with a disgusting look. “Janie, we don’t steal! We’re not stealers! I feel like I don’t even know you anymore!” Lauren yelled, stomping down the hallway. Janie didn’t feel anything. She had expected Lauren to be like this. They weren’t stealers. And maybe Lauren didn’t know Janie anymore. Maybe they had stopped being friends when Janie grew up and Lauren just didn’t. Janie had gone out for clubs, accepted middle school with open arms, and had started to become interested in her hair. It wasn’t really noticeable. But, Lauren noticed. She didn’t accept the fact she was in middle school, she didn’t like it, she didn’t join clubs, and she didn’t care about her hair. Not caring aout her hair didn’t matter to Janie, it was just that she was closing herself up to middle school. She refused to make other friends which made her clingy to Janie, her only friend. Janie just swiftly walked to her locker, banged it open, took out her books and put in her science books, clanged it shut, and set off down the hallway. She didn’t know what had made her steal. She had just walked down the isle and stuck her hand out in a quick, expert motion, and just taken that pack of chips. She had stuck it in her pocket and walked coolly out of the shop. Nobody suspected a thing and she ate her chips on the beach. Nobody was there to stop her and she felt good about it. She didn’t care. The storied didn’t need the chips, nobody really went to that store. What was the big deal? Then the guilt had moved in. First it had just been a thought, “Hey, I don’t think that’s such a good thing to do.” Then she went wild, she had to tell somebody. She was going to lock herself in her body, guilty and angry and feeling stupid. So she told Lauren.

stories that i wrote February 11, 2007

exerpt from “the king takes”
she sat on the mountain top. she looked out into the distance. the sun glared upon her head. her brown hair shone in the sun. the trees glistened with the dew covering them like a blanket. beauty surrounded her. she knew they were coming. the soldiers would come, they would attack, they would take everything she had. but this beauty…this was hers. it was hers. something at last.

exerpt from “the king takes”
“you hope and you pray, mademoiselle, but we shall never know.” her eyes stared into his. he dropped the dress onto the ground. “the dangers come soon. they will come and take the castle. they will take everything. but they won’t take you. please, mademoiselle….will you take me?” she looked into his brown eyes. they were gleaming with a sort of hope and love. she threw her arms around him. “i have waited for so long for this.”

exerpt from “don’t breath”
the world seemed to collapse around her. the trees seemed to fall with a thud. everything seemed to drop and stand still, waiting for her reaction. “the animals will always be here,” she said, her voice shaking. “they will always be here for us.” she touched her sister’s shoulder. her sister took a step backward as if hit. “they won’t be here. don’t you understand? they’re gone.” the reality of it hit the ground, taking her with it. “they…abandoned us?” her sister nodded. “no!” her voice ripped through the sky like a scar.

these are little parts from MY stories. i wrote them. don’t say “no you didn’t” because i did. they’re, like, my life’s work!

wicked crazy February 11, 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — emilyishere @ 3:03 am

herewow! i just saw “wicked” the musical in new york…LOTS TO SAY ABOUT THIS ONE! :D
ok, first of all…
amazing singing. really that was phenomanal. they have real talent–especially elphaba. she is truly an amazing singer with a wicked-crazy look. she’s just so funky-lookin’ that ya gotta love her.
then there’s GUH-LINDA (only people who have seen the musical will understand that little joke) she was a fine singer, it just kind of annoyed me that it was fluttery and opera-ish. i wanted it to be clean, broadway singing. amazing. the plot is absolute GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the songs are REALLY AMAZING and get stuck in your head SO EASILY. relaly this guy is so amazing, who the heck could have ever thought that up? i can’t wait to read the book. :) there is one scene…the scene just when elphaba takes feirdo from guh-linda (teehee) and they’re rubbing each other’s cheeks and shoulders and kissing a lot…it didn’t make me feel awkward-awkward, like, “eww, they’re kissing!” but it made me feel bad because she had just stolen him. it made her seem so stupid, love-sick, and cruel. i didn’t like it. :) there we go!
comment if you’ve seen the wonders of “WICKED!”

greys anatomy February 9, 2007

wow… SmileyCentral.com

lotssssss happened.
lots of it was really scary…
issy should stop being a surgeon. she gets too scared and under-pressure in circumstances like
that man being trapped. not that i blame here!!! but surgeons can really deal with that.
that little girl was kind of creepy, but i liked her. when the man knocked grey into the water-wow. um…they can’t kill grey, right?! it’s her show! that was a really amazinly-shot scene. the ferry explosion was obviously computer-made, but it was pretty realistic. i loved how karev was very brave and suffered and connected with that woman who’s face got crushed who is pregnant. this was such a beautiful episoide, it’s definatley one of my favorites–but it was very scary and sort of gross. in fact not sort of…but a lot gross, but a lot gross, but you have to be ready for that when you’re watching greys anatomy.

WOOHOO!
:-D
i didn’t like how mean grey was being to mcdreamy. they have such a great relashinship though. i have no idea what’s going on. did he actually ask her to marry him? no. they can’t do that, grey and mcdreamy have to be married! but not now. too many people just got ready.

love February 9, 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — emilyishere @ 12:54 am

love.
it’s so confusing. one second, they’re your boyfriend. the next second it’s over. but that’s not love. we could put that in the “puppy love” isle or even “fake love.” the many isles of our emotions have only three for “love”- fake, puppy, and real. real love comes suddenly, unexpectantly, and sometimes-a little too fast. you’re not ready, you’re knocked over by a full-blown new sensation. you don’t hear bells, they don’t dance with you on the ballroom floor and sweep you away to the balcony and love you when the stupid glass shoe fits. it’s love. but we’re in modern times, remember. it’s a sensation where you know that person is yours and you are theirs. you don’t feel like this love won’t last like the last one, this is real. a heart doesn’t spring inbetween you, you don’t stare into their eyes and say, “i love you forever.”
it is an unspoken agreement.
